I found a very interesting Video

It is an interview with Craig Federighi about the iPhone Duo. The moment I saw the thumbnail on my home page, I knew I wanted to see it. To that point, I had not yet seen Federighi speak about the iPhone Duo.

The host had amazing questions. I have never seen Federighi speak about details like in this video before. Not even The Talk Show with John Gruber. Most of the time, Federighi speaks in detail about technical implementation. Like new API, a private way to offer contact fill in your app without having access to see the person’s contacts, etc.

Here Federighi speaks about very specific design decisions. The way to go back on iOS or the way Apple designed the animation that plays every time you open Duo.

The host is a person named Donald Decodes. I have not seen him anywhere else before. And after looking at his channel it appears to me that he is new to making videos. Good job

Added 22 October 2026 Today I read Daring Fireball The iPhone Duo Post about the iPhone duo. In the post, Gruber linked to his previous post that is about this same interview. He posted it on 28 September 2026 i did mine on 2 October 2026.

I was not aware of his post. The fact that we posted about the same thing is cool. I guess we have a similar YouTube algorithm.
